Julia Carden

Julia Carden is a Learning and Development specialist, Corporate Trainer and Coach. She works extensively in the public, private and education sectors. Her most recent engagements have included: a facilitator as part of the delivery team for Senior Leadership Development Programmes; delivering a Management Development Programme to a public sector organisation; and a range of workshops at two universities to challenge behaviours, manage bullying and harassment and support managers to confront difficult conversations and manage performance.

Julia’s specialist training areas are Bullying and Harassment, Resilience Skills and Mindfulness. She has also been coaching for eight years and has worked with senior leaders, middle managers and future leaders.

Julia’s approach to facilitated discussions is challenging and caring; her challenging style helps to reveal the core issues, while caring and empathy can lead to greater insight and understanding. Her core values of authenticity and competence underpin all her work. She prides herself on the ability to build strong rapport and empathy with delegates from all sectors.

Julia draws on a wide range of psychological dimensions in her work; however, she is now starting to develop greater focus in a mindfulness and time-to-think approach. Julia is passionate about her continuing professional development and regularly takes part in coaching supervision.
