- How to distinguish between pressures that can be controlled and those that cannot
- To prioritise those pressures that cause the most stress
- How to develop action plans to tackle the most important and controllable sources of pressure
- Techniques to boost 'psychological acceptance' that reduce feelings of stress and frustration
- Other techniques that tackle causes of stress e.g. time management, assertiveness
- Some basics about positive psychology (which looks at what causes well-being and happiness)
- Tools and techniques that help to change perspective on work and life (on how 'you see the situation you are in')
- What work-life balance means and how to build a more healthy balance into life.
- How to build more enjoyment into life, reducing stress in the process
- Several ways to cope better e.g. social support, relaxation techniques

CONTENT SUMMARY
The purpose of this course is for the participants to understand what is causing their stress and to equip them with a toolkit of techniques they can practice both in the work environment and in their own time.
The course will be based around our 'PIC' formula approach which gives participants a toolkit they can use to focus on the things in their lives that can minimise the risk of stress and enhance their feelings of wellbeing.
